Tony Umez’s Early Life:
He was born in 1964 in OGIDI where his father hails from. His mother was from CROSS RIVER STATE
Despite given birth to in Ogidi, Anambra state, Tony grew up in Lagos State, where he did his basic education, and subsequently obtained his Bachelor’s degree in English language.
Tony Umez ventured into acting when he was in secondary school. Then, he participated in drama and plays with his fellow classmates.
Subsequently, due to his zeal in acting, he joined Nollywood Industry in 1993. He made it to limelight after featuring in a movie titled; “Died Wretched”.
Ever since then, he has acted in more than 250 Nollywood movies.

Met His Beloved Wife:
Tony met his wife, Patsy Ogochukwu in 1994 on a movie set. After a relationship of 5 years, he got married to her in 1999.
They are blessed with 4 beautiful girls, who are doing well in their different endeavours.
