“I will sing and collect bread” Timi Dakolo vows to do more for Atiku’s presidential campaign

Nigerian singer, Timi Dakolo has responded to the backlash he received for performing at Presidential aspirant, Atiku Abubakar’s presidential declaration ceremony.

Nollynaijanews earlier reported how some Nigerian youths expressed their disappointment online after singer, Timi Dakolo chose to sing his well loved and accepted national song ‘Great Nation’ at the ceremony of Atiku Abubakar’s declaration for 2023 presidency, on Wednesday, March 23, 2022.

One Diamond wrote “This is the problem of Nigeria. Our celebrities can been bought with money anytime and they believe they’re the ones to influence other through social media…Greedy people because you’re looking for your own then tomorrow they’ll come and join Endsars protest…why can’t they reject to perform in any of their political activities as a protest to OCT 20 2020 #endsars Use what you have to show this old men that they’re not wanted anymore as leaders, protest with anything you can.”

Speaking out on the backlash, the singer who was unashamed and unremorseful vowed to repeat it again.

He promised to do more singing at rallys and collect his money.

Timi Dakolo told the critic to and sing if it pains him.

In his words, “I will sing and collect bread my G, if it pains you well well, go sing your own”.
