Some celebrities become involved in the film industry after being inspired by other actors. Jide Kosoko is a Nollywood actor who is considered one of the country’s legends. The late Hubert Ogunde’s success in the movie industry inspired the actor, who is bilingual in Yoruba and English.
According to Nigerian News the Actor once revealed that late Hubert Ogunde who was a legendary Nollywood Actor was the one who inspired him in Acting. According to the Actor, his parents were against his Acting Career because at that time most parents see Acting as an odd Career and they didn’t want their children to act or have anything to do with Actors. But things changed for Jide Kosoko after he saw Ogunde who lived close to their home, he revealed that each time Sir Hubert Ogunde walked on the street, people always run after him to hail him and he told himself that he will work hard to become like him.
The Actor finally got a chance to achieve his dreams when an uncle of his who was part of a drama group invited him to play a role in the year 1964, at that time, he was just 10 years old but he played his role perfectly well. In the year 1972, the Actor established his theatre group and today he has gained Fame in the Nollywood Industry and he is known all over the Country. Although the Actor started his Career as a child Actor, he is now an elderly Actor who has achieved Fame in the Country. He is now a grown man who is regarded as one of the Legendary Actors in the Industry.
We don’t know if the Actor might have become successful if he wasn’t inspired by Hubert Ogunde but what we do know is that the Actor worked hard to become an Actor after he was inspired by the Legend.
