Nollywood actor, Junior Pope Odonwodo a.k.a Jnr Pope alongside, three others were, yesterday, involved a boat mishap on the Anam Anam River in Anambra State.
Pope is aged 39.
The incident was said to have happened while they were returning from a movie location in a boat when the accident happened.
Fortunately, the actor was said to be alive after the mortuary attendant confirmed that there life is still in his body.
He was said to be battling with his life.
Emeka Rollas, the President of Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, later confirmed that Pope was alive and recovering in a hospital.
In an Instagram post, Rollas said the actor was alive and was receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.
Acorrding to the Eyewitness;
“The Boat Guys are responsible for Jnr Pope’s tragic d**th, The Boat Rider was doing Cruise trying to do Stunt, and 2 Boats Crashed and Capsized, The Flying Boats dont have Life Jackets, it’s a business in the place you then have to go and rent it from another Person, It was all Negligence, Jnr Popes wife was called to the Scene and she saw her husband’s lifeless body been brought out of the river, 2 crew members body are still there, Tomorrow Naval divers will go and find them
