Popular Nigerian singer and husband to Simi, Adekunle Gold has taken to his social media page On June 30 to remember her late younger sister who passed away some years ago.
According to the information gathered from the singer’s post on Instagram, his late sister whose name is given as Adesoye died from complications of the heart in 2011 and it has always been a bitter experience for him. The singer referred to her as his best friend in his family house, he said that Adesoye was the only best friend he had when they were still living together in their father’s house.
According to him, she would have turned 26 years old on June 30 and this means that she died at the age of 16. It should be noted that the singer has always been keeping the habit of remembering her every year on her birthday and this means he has been doing this for 10 years now.
In rememberance of his sister, he shared old photos of her, including the one they took together. He also said that he is now doing what he discussed with her before her demise.
It is really painful to lose a relative close to someone’s heart and I can imagine the pain Adekunle Gold goes through everytime he remembers her sister, how much he could have done for her now that he is rich. Sadly, no matter how we tried, death is inevitable, we only pray it comes later than soon.
