Fr Kelvin Ugwu, a popular Catholic priest has taken a swipe at people who are always fast to condemn their church members who get pregnant out of wedlock but will come online to hail popular celebrities who do the same.
In a long post on his official Facebook page, Fr Kelvin asked if it was not hypocrisy that will make a christian condemn a choire member who got pregnant out of wedlock only for the same christian to come online and be hailing Rihanna’s baby bump even when Rihanna is not also married.
He further stated that there’s no sin called the sin of pregnancy although christianity does not encourage pregnancy out of wedlock and that anyone who’s had premarital sex is not better than the person that got pregnant.
He said some people are against abortion but once they see an unmarried person who is pregnant they begin to judge.
He revealed how some pregnant girls do not only get suspended in their church but are also denied taking holy communion even after they have gone for sacrament of confession.
He then asked what is the reason behind denying her communion and that what was the essence of the confession she made.
