On this International Theatre Day I flag off 40years as an entertainer with one of my favourite characters.. Iya ‘loja..Queen of the market, the main character I play in @i.open.eye #HearWord directed by @ifeomafafunwa . We’ve travelled widely Iya’loja and i and 14 incredible women..across 3 continents no less…Here we are at the United Nations New York.
When her in- laws come to claim her property after her husbands death , Iya’loja gathers other traders in the market and the intruders are driven off…
There is insecurity in our beloved country. It seems intractable.WE will beat it off when we think as NIGERIANS. When bad behaviour is punished and not cosetted. When Justice is done and seen to be done.
