Tinubu will make N1 equal $1 with economic policy – Campaign manager

Manager for Bola Tinubu’s presidential campaign, Ayodele Adewale, has said the All Progressives Congress, (APC) candidate will make the Nigerian currency, Naira to be at par with the dollar if he is elected as president in 2023.

Adewale, who stated this during an interview on Arise TV also said Tinubu would make education free for all students up to the university level.

He spoke in defence of the presidential candidate’s decision to run a Muslim-Muslim ticket with former governor of Borno, Kashim Shettima.

Tinubu’s decision to pick a fellow Muslim as the vice presidential candidate stirred controversy on the premise that the ticket could create religious instability in the country.

Adewale, however urged Nigerians to look beyond religious sentiments and focus on what the candidates have to offer.

“To improve the economy to the extent that we can drive down the high cost of the naira to the dollar. We are looking at a system where we can bring it at equal par, one naira to one dollar”, he said in part.
