Nollywood Actor, King Zealot Arrested And Paraded As ESN Member In South-East

A Nollywood actor and musician known as King Zealot has been arrested by the security operatives and paraded as a member of Eastern Security Network (ESN), the army affiliate of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). The young man was paraded alongside other men with some weapons which were reported to have been recovered from them.

Although King Zealot is not a household name in the Nigerian movie industry, one of the films he has featured in is “The Blue City”, where he acted alongside some Nollywood stars like Harry B Anyanwu, Dike Osinachi, popularly known as Apama, among others.

King Zealot’s friends have taken to social media to debunk the report that he is a member of ESN.

In the post which was made by Instablog, one of his friends said that King Zealot was arrested alongside other people and tagged an ESN member. He said that the young man is an actor and musician based in Owerri, and that he can clearly say that he is not a thief or ESN member.

The friend said that King Zealot graduated from IMSU last year, and they have been in touch since then. He urged the authorities to look into the issue and release King Zealot.

Many have taken to the comments section to call on the security agents to carry out proper investigation to know if the young man is actually an ESN member or not. And we hope that the security agents will do so.
