Nigerian musician, Azeez Fashola popularly known as Naira Marley, has joined entertainers around the world to mourn the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
CorrectNG reported that the British monarch passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2022.
In reaction to the development, Naira Marley decided to honour her memory through his social media page.
The Tesumole crooner was based in the UK before he moved to Nigeriaand joined the entertainment business.
Naira shared a video on his Instagram story which showed a tattoo of the queen’s face on someone’s hand. He, however, did not state if it was his hand or someone else’s.
He could also be heard in the background praying for the late queen who reigned for 70 years, to rest in peace.
He said: “Rest in peace ma.”

Queen Elizabeth II, the UK’s longest-reigning monarch, died at the age of 96.
She ascended to the throne in 1952 and witnessed enormous social change.
A statement by Buckingham Palace on Sept. 8 said: “The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon.
“The King and the Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow.”
Following her demise, Prince Charles, her eldest son and the former Prince of Wales, will lead the country in mourning as the new King.
BBC reports that the monarch’s family gathered at her Scottish estate on Thursday, September 8th after concerns grew about her health.
Doctors had earlier placed the Queen under medical supervision and, in that time, all her children travelled to Balmoral, near Aberdeen.
Queen Elizabeth II’s tenure as head of state traverses post-war austerity, the transition from empire to Commonwealth, the end of the Cold War and the UK’s entry into – and withdrawal from – the European Union.
Her reign spanned 15 prime ministers starting with Winston Churchill, born in 1874, and including Liz Truss, who was appointed by the Queen earlier this week.
The Queen was born Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor, in Mayfair, London, on 21 April 1926.
