Nollywood actress, Biodun Okeowo, recently took to social media to clear the air regarding one of her posts – The movie star said that the Instagram photo was not to insult men as people tagged it – The actress, however, stated that she made the statement because there were more single mothers than fathers

Nollywood actress, Biodun Okeowo, aka Omoburty, recently took to social media to reply to people who thought that one of her recent posts on Instagram was to unnecessarily drag men.

The actress had earlier posted a photo which said that it was school fees season, and some people had gone into hiding.

Excerpt from her caption on the post read:

“Between hiding is better than being faceless all through. To hide means, you must have been present before. There’s nothing as sad and annoying as a faceless parent either a Father or a mother. No matter what! We must play our roles as parents. This post is not for men alone. It is for both men and women.”

Nigerians however did not take the post pleasantly, as the general belief was that she was shading men who had kids with women they were not married to.

In a follow-up post, the actress took her time to explain what her first post meant. Omoborty stated that it was not a callout/shade, as she was a single parent as well, and she directed her words to both sexes. The movie star, however, mentioned that there were more single mothers than fathers, reason her post was more relatable for women.
