The Akwa Ibom State Police command has arrested a 40 year old woman identified as Joy Enomfon Sunday for hiring people to kidnap her husband (Mr Emmanuel Usenekong). She was arrested after police arrested her husband and the kidnappers told the police she sent them.

When the suspect (Joy) was finally arrested, and interrogated by the police, she said that she kidnapped her husband because he refused to have sex with her and abandoned his children and she had to do menial jobs to feed her children and send them to school.
She also said that the kidnappers she hired have not given her, her own share of the 2 million Naira ransom they collected from her husband. She also revealed that I was when the kidnappers were sharing the ransom that they were arrested. The leader of the kidnappers (Udo moji) is currently on the run.
Her husband (Mr Usenekong) was eventually rescued by the police in Etinan, where the kidnappers took him and the sum of 500,000 was recovered from the captured kidnappers. He said he never expected his ex-wife would do such a thing to him.
