Wizkid, a popular Nigerian artist, has reflected on his humble beginnings and how his colleague Wande Coal aided his career. Wizkid expressed his gratitude to Wande Coal during a recent event by giving an emotional address on stage.
The Essence singer recalled how Wande Coal believed in him when he was recording his debut tracks, which included Holla at Your Boy, Don’t Dull, Tease Me, and others.
Wande Coal, according to the Star Boy, accommodated him and allowed him sleep in his room when he had nowhere else to go.
Not content with that, Wizkid described Wande Coal as a “really special human being” to whom he wishes to express his gratitude.
In his words: “I remember when I was making my first single, Holla at your boy, Tease me, Don’t Dull, Wande Coal was always there for me mehn. He let me sleep in his room when I had nowhere to go. I just want to say a big thank you to that guy, that’s a very special human being.
