Popular nollywood actor, Jide Awobona, has revealed that he was scammed recently on a social media page. Jide, who took to his Instagram page on Thursday, said his fans should be cautious of who they chat with on social media as he has now become a victim. Jide explained that a friend or a family can ask for money on social media but it is important to reach out to the person through a phone call to ascertain the genuineness of the call before any transaction. He opined some hackers may have hacked the account of the person soliciting help from you.
He said
“I am a victim. Your friends can ask you for money on Social Media, your family can, your fans can, but please, ensure you reach out to the person via a call before any transaction. The account could have been hacked.”
