“One of the worst films Odunlade ever made”- Mixed reactions trails on Elesin Oba movie

Some fans of Nigerian actor Odunlade Adekola have given negative reviews to the newly released Netflix movie Elesin Oba: The King’s Horseman which he’s among the cast.

A screen adaptation of Wole Soyinka’s Death and the King’s Horseman, Elesin Oba was directed by the late Biyi Bandele, who died in August.

The movie follows the true-life story of a King’s horseman (played by Odunlade Adekola), who, according to tradition, has to lay down his life to ensure the safe passage of the deceased King into the afterlife.

Odunlade Adekola took to Instagram to share a banner of Elesin Oba, giving kudo to all the cast.

He wrote:

Reacting to his post, some of his fans to the comment section to give negative reviews about the movie while some gave accolades for interpreting his role better despite the movie is not interesting.
